Help for those with a hearing problem
Free monthly hearing information events are held in the Green Room, Textile Hall, Bury, next door to Bury Library.
These sessions are delivered in partnership with Bury Audiology Unit Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, Bury Society for Deaf and Hearing Impaired People, Bury Libraries Sensory Unit, Sensory Team Adult Care Services and Action on Hearing Loss.
The next session, “Is your Television turned up too loud?”, is on Monday 3 June from 2pm to 4.30pm. Further sessions are:
- Monday 1 July - NHS Hearing Aid Maintenance
- Monday 5 August - Equipment to help with hearing loss
- Monday 2 September - Tinnitus
- Monday 7 October - Telephones with amplification
- Monday 4 November - Communication tactics
- Monday 2 December - Equipment to help with hearing loss
Sessions planned for 2014:
- January - NHS hearing aid maintenance
- February – Tinnitus
All the sessions are on a drop-in basis where you can get help and advice from the professionals.
