Let's Do It! Let’s talk strengths and doing things together
The next instalment in the Bury Futures showcase will get underway at 2pm on Thursday 4 March. This will debate Bury’s strengths and how we nurture these for the health and happiness of future generations.
Anyone can join the conversation about Bury’s strengths, just follow the joining link at www.bury.gov.uk/buryfutures and watch the event as it happens.
This week’s online event follows on from an engaging session held last week on enterprise and precedes the up and coming discussion on the role of community leadership and working together to achieve shared results.
The Bury Futures series is being led by Philip Collins, who was born and educated in Bury and is now contributing editor at the New Statesman and the author of the 2017 Life Chances report for Bury Council. The series sees Philip in conversation with some local leaders and contributors from the national stage to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of our borough and ideas behind the vision for the next 10 years.
Councillor Eamonn O’Brien, Leader of Bury Council said: “The Bury Futures series provides a platform to discuss the key elements of the ‘Let’s Do It!’ strategy, as we recover from the Covid pandemic and seek to ensure we have a thriving borough with opportunities for all.
“Bury has a positive future with strong foundations to build upon, and these upcoming sessions provide a chance to demonstrate this and showcase the contributions we can make to ensure it is built upon.”
