Made in Bury – local businesses to receive awards

Local companies will be cheered for their achievements at the inaugural Made in Bury Business Awards 2013.

The awards aim to reward and recognise businesses which are thriving and flourishing in the current climate, acknowledging the successes of Bury’s diverse business community.

Bury Council is proud to be the headline sponsors of the awards, in association with thebestofbury.

Culminating in a celebration lunch on 22 November 2013, the Made in Bury Awards will become a major annual event in the Bury business calendar.

Nominations are now open and the deadline for entry is Friday 20 September. The awards are free to enter and businesses of all sizes and sectors from across the borough of Bury are invited to take part. Shortlisted organisations will be offered one free ticket to the event.

Councillor Mike Connolly, leader of Bury Council, said: “Local businesses are crucial for Bury’s economy and jobs, and help make the borough a great place to live in, work in and visit. We think it’s about time we formally recognised their achievements and ambitions at these Made in Bury Business Awards.”
