Pop-up dementia cafes come to local libraries

Bury Library Service, working with Making Space, has organised regular pop-up cafes which will take place across the borough.

The cafes, for people who have dementia and their carers, are the perfect place to exchange views and news, get the facts and dispel the myths in an informal, relaxed atmosphere. Refreshments are provided and visitors can get expert guidance.

The cafes take place at:

  • Topping Fold Community Centre and Library (11am-1pm) on Wednesday 13 November and 2 April 2014
  • Coronation Road Community Centre and Library (11am-1pm) on Tuesday, 10 December, and 11 February 2014
  • Dumers Lane Community Centre and Library (11am-1pm) on Tuesday 26 November and 18 March 2014
  • Moorside Community Centre and Library (11am-1pm) on Wednesday, 20 November, and 18 December, and then on 15 January, 26 February, 26 March, 30 April, 21 May, 25 June and 23 July 2014
  • Brandlesholme Community Centre and Library (11am-1pm) on Monday 20 January 2014
  • South Cross Street Community Centre and Library (10am-noon) on Friday 29 November.
