Prestwich groups can now apply for the Parklife Community Fund

Community organisations across Prestwich are invited to apply for the Parklife Community Fund 2026/27, which is now open for applications.

The fund, provided by the annual Parklife Festival, offers grants to voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations delivering projects that benefit local people and communities in Prestwich.

Individual organisations can apply for grants of up to £1,000, while partnership applications involving two or more eligible organisations can apply for up to £1,000 per participating organisation.

Councillor Richard Gold, cabinet member for communities and inclusion, said: “In 2016, local Sedgley Councillors approached Parklife and asked them to set up a community fund in a way of compensation for the disturbance caused by the Parklife weekend to residents. This fund has now exceeded £250, 000 in grants to local groups and organisations.

“The Parklife Community Fund continues to provide valuable support for community groups and organisations that make a difference to people's lives in Prestwich. The fund helps local groups develop new ideas, build on existing projects and deliver activities that bring communities together and respond to local needs.

“Over the years, we have seen a wide range of organisations benefit from this funding, creating opportunities for residents, strengthening community connections and supporting the fantastic work taking place across our neighbourhoods.

“Whether you're looking to start something new or expand an existing project, this funding could help turn those plans into reality and deliver lasting benefits for the Prestwich community.”

Applications must be submitted by midday on 4 December 2026. Successful applicants are expected to be notified within four weeks of the closing date.
