Vote now for Bury’s sporting heroes and heroines

Nominations are being sought for Bury’s annual celebration of sporting excellence, the Bury 2017 Sports Awards.

The deadline for nominations has been extended to midnight on 31 August, giving people a bit longer to decide which individual or group should win an award in one of the following categories:

  • Volunteer of the year
  • Coach of the year
  • Sports achiever of the year
  • Disabled achiever of the year
  • Community club of the year
  • Unsung hero of the year
  • Changing lifestyle recognition award
  • School contribution to PE and sport
  • ‘I Will If You Will’ sporting female of the year award

The winners will be presented with their awards by the Mayor of Bury and will go on to represent Bury at the Greater Manchester Sports Awards on Friday 17 November at The Point, Emirates Old Trafford.
