We can help you to Get Online

Six free sessions have been arranged at local libraries to help residents access the internet during Get Online Week (17­-23 October).

Now in its tenth year, the national campaign aims to make life easier, cheaper, healthier and more fun, and has helped half a million people over the last decade to discover the benefits of getting online.

Bring your tablet, smart phone or laptop to get help at one of these six free ‘drop-in’ events:

Tuesday 18 October - Radcliffe Library (10am-noon) and Whitefield Library (2pm-4pm)

Wednesday 19 October - Prestwich Library (10am-noon) and Bury Library (2pm-4pm)

Thursday 20 October - Ramsbottom Library (10am-noon) and Tottington Library (2pm-4pm)

Formed in April 1974 as a result of Local Government re-organisation it was one of the ten original districts that formed the County of Greater Manchester. The Borough has an area of 9,919 hectares (24,511 acres) and serves a population of 187,500.
