ESVAGT has moved into new premises

ESVAGT has put its new office buildings at Dokhavnen into service.

ESVAGT moved into its new premises at Dokvej 4 in Esbjerg over the weekend of the 16th to 17th of August after outgrowing its previous location at the old seaman's home on Adgangsvejen.

The substantial growth the shipping company has enjoyed over the last few years has given rise to a need for more space – and this new building provides it with almost 2,000 metres and room for approximately 70 employees.

“We have nothing but praise for the engineers and tradesmen – we kept to our schedule and packed our office on Adgangsvejen on Friday and unpacked it again on Dokhavnen on Monday,” says Bjarne Poulsen, Chief Financial Officer for ESVAGT.

Room for growth

In addition to their new office space, ESVAGT has purchased IAT’s base and warehouse on Dokhavnen. This will now need renovation so that the company’s new headquarters consists of three buildings with the same architectural style – office, warehouse and workshop totalling around 4,000 square metres.

“We wanted to bring together all our activities in one location and create room for the growth that we are expecting. We also wanted to get really close to the water so that our vessels can lay up to our land based facilities,” says Bjarne Poulsen.

ESVAGT has rented a total of 18,500 square metres of the harbour and has first claim to the quayside in the inner part of Vestre Dokkaj.
