Fortrus are exhibiting at the one day EPR event at NNUH on the 20th September
The day, which is being hosted by members of staff from NNUH, will provide the opportunity for delegates supported by experts in the field and industry partners to explore opportunities for delivering a common Electronic Patient Record across the three Norfolk acute trusts and the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Systems.
Professor Erika Denton, NNUH Consultant Radiologist said: “The day will be a fantastic chance for senior clinicians to continue their professional development. Using EPR is a massive part of shaping the future here in Norfolk.”

The purpose of the event is:
- To bring together clinical multidisciplinary leaders and managers across the three acute Trusts in the Norfolk and Waveney STP footprint.
- To showcase the ambition to deliver an integrated EPR solution, gauge key benefits of and functions required in such a system, showcase what other footprints are working on and what the marketplace currently looks like.
- To build a community within the Trusts’ clinical staff that is informed about the opportunities, features and benefits that EPR systems can deliver, together with how they can be integrated into patient and clinical pathways. This will educate and inform them and enable them to make the right choices of the best systems for our patients.
Fortrus are the innovators of 'Unity Realtime EPR' an alternative to traditional EPR Strategies
Fortrus will be exhibiting at the event with the objective of providing delegates with information about Unity Realtime EPR and the solutions we have delivered to the NHS, illustrating that there is an alternative solution to traditional EPR strategies.
Traditionally the NHS have been sold by the IT Industry confusing and overlapping solution concepts such as; EPR, EMR, IDCR, Portals and EDM, to name but a few. The Unity Integrated Digital Care Record is different; it’s a bespoke solution that blends the functionality of all of the above concepts into a single Digital Roadmap, delivered in modules, via a phased approach. Unity enables Trusts to ‘go-digital’ without ripping and replacing current systems, or implementing costly EPRs.

This replaces the traditional patient record by displaying both the paper record electronically, along with any other information held about that patient in other specialist systems within the organisation. Phase 2: Unity Realtime EPR brings information, clinicians, patients and care organisations together, through a revolutionary approach to deliver the required outcomes of an Electronic Patient Record, but without the costly and siloed approach of traditional EPR strategies and products.
