Passengers using the waiting room at Peckham Rye station are being treated to wonderful new art, as a result of a collaboration between Southern and a local children's academy. Southern and Thameslink passengers are being advised to avoid using London Bridge this evening after another hole was found underneath the railway tracks at Forest Hill. This means that capacity into London Bridge is severely reduced while Network Rail works to make repairs, with many services diverted, starting/terminating short of their destinations or cancelled.

Southern and Thameslink services into London Bridge are being disrupted this morning as Network Rail Engineers work to repair the hole underneath the railway tracks at Forest Hill. The hole appeared yesterday afternoon and leads down to a sewer which runs underneath the tracks.

Southern is adding more services to the revised timetable it introduced on Monday to reduce delays and provide improved capacity on the busiest routes. These include more trains on the Tulse Hill, Peckham Rye route, the Mole Valley route between Dorking and Epsom and a train to and from Seaford and also to and from Lewes.

So far, over 87% of services operating today on the strike-affected Southern network have run to time. Southern will be returning to its normal timetable tomorrow (Wednesday) but some services may run with fewer carriages than normal because trains will be out of their normal position because of today’s strike.

Passengers on Southern services between London Victoria and Brighton were delighted recently by volunteers from the Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft, who travelled up and down coaches with an antique on-board printing press. Passengers were invited to get involved and print their own cards, as they travelled between stations on the Brighton Mainline.
