Grassroots app Spond sign-up as latest London Sport Awards sponsor

Grassroots sport app Spond are delighted to be supporting The Enhancing the Workforce Award at the London Sport Awards 2020, supported by the City of London Corporation.

Spond is a free app with a clear mission, to make the organisation of grassroots sport as easy as possible, so coaches, players and families can spend more time doing what they love.

The app, which has 700,000 users every month, supports more than 30,000 teams, provides a centralised, simple-to-use system that saves grassroots coaches hours in admin time every week.

Spond also helps safeguard children, enables organisers to comply with data protection regulations, and facilitates fundraising and crowdfunding for sports club.

The Norway-based firm is the fourth business to pick up category sponsorship for this year’s London Sport Awards following City of London CorporationPlayInnovation and Davies Sports.

The Enhancing the Workforce Award, in association with Spond, sees ECB Cities Team, QMSU Community Sport, and Coach Core all named on the final shortlist by the judges.

The winner of The Enhancing the Workforce Award will be announced at the glittering London Sport Awards ceremony at the Guildhall on Friday 6 March.

Previous winners of the Award include Disability Sports Coach, Muslimah Sports Association and Partners, London Youth Games and parkrun.

The London Sport Awards supported by the City of London Corporation will take place on the evening of Friday 6 March at the prestigious Guildhall in central London.
