Meet Noel, one of our Virgin Money London Marathon Runners

Name: Noel Hollingsworth

Age: 56

From: Surbiton

Can you tell us a little about why you have chosen to run the London Marathon for The Sick Children’s Trust?

The Sick Children’s Trust is an amazing charity that supported my daughter and her family when they needed to be with their seriously ill daughter. If Stevenson House not been there, it would have been very difficult for my daughter to be with Esmé when she needed her Mum the most, it made things that little bit easier at a very stressful and worrying time in our lives.

What will keep you from ‘hitting the wall’?

I will be thinking of how The Sick Children’s Trust enabled Emily’s whole family to be there for Esmé, including their eldest daughter Ava, and not to mention the difference the money people have donated will make to more families who find themselves in a similar situation.

Have you ever done anything like this before?

Yes! I run many marathons each and do not usually raise money for charities, however I've decided to raise money for The Sick Children's Trust by running the London marathon as it is an amazing charity which is very close to my family’s hearts.

Good luck Noel!
