• Consumer spending rises +1.6% year-on-year in July, an improvement over May (+0.8%) and June (+0.9%), but still lower than the average growth rate in the past 2 years (+2.4%)
• Hotels, Restaurants & Bars is strongest performing sector (+8.9%)
• Transport & Communication records a further drop in spending (-3.8%)
