Djurgården: A new center for live music in Stockholm

Stockholm is one of the worlds leading music producing cities. And the "museum" island Djurgården is turning into - the hub of live performances in Stockholm this summer. The new Swedish Music Hall of Fame (including ABBA -The Museum) includes a new live stage which will complement the live music at Skansen and Gröna Lund.

In addition to the three permanent exhibitions: ABBA - The Museum, the history of Swedish popular music and the Hall of Fame, the new venue will focus on current music  happenings, small and intimate gigs. Swedish Music Hall of Fame and ABBA The Museum opens May 7, 2013

With some 60 concerts in a total, on two stages, from May and through September, the amusement park is one of the best places to experience live performances in Stockholm. Some of Sweden's most popular artists, most of them in the pop genre, and a lot of international will perform. The Swedish Eurovision winner Loreen, Louise Hoffsen, who represents Sweden this year as well as popular artist like Darin and Adrian Lux will perform this summer. Here is the entire list.

New stage for live music at Skansen
On June 9 the new Solliden stage will be inaugurated, making the summer of 2013 the best music year in the history of the open air museum. In addition to folk music and dance Skansen offers a wide selection of popular music, jazz and sing-a-long. During eight Tuesdays, between 25/6-13/8, you can take part  in the televised and wildly popular Sing-along "Allsång på Skansen. Mondays turn Blue as Skansen offers quality jazz performances between 1/7-19/8 at Solliden Stage. Big Band Dance, modern dancing and Senior discos are offered at the Galejan stage Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays between 20/6-27/8.
