​Hövding greets spring with vibrant colour and leopard print

During last autumn, Hövding released its third-generation airbags for cyclists, and next up is their spring collection of covers. Spruce up your spring look with “Neo Mint” and “Leopard” covers while increasing your visibility on the road.

- We release new covers every spring and autumn. Hövding is first and foremost a safety product – it’s the world’s safest head protection for cyclists – but we still want to offer cyclists the opportunity to pay homage to the seasons and to express their personal style while out on the bike, says Hövding CEO Fredrik Carling.

“Neo Mint” is Hövding’s most vibrant cover, featuring a high vis colour that makes the cyclist stand out in traffic. The cover is made with a scuba material of polyester and spandex, sporting a white reflective print which reads “Ride safe Feel free”.

”Leopard” is designed to emulate a draped shawl with its black, reflective lines. Leopard is a classic print, and this cover is made of cotton, polyester and elastin. The design includes a little twist which creates a soft silhouette of a knot, giving the fabric extra volume.

Both covers feature an inner lining which pulls up under your chin to protect the collar from sweat and creates extra comfort as a barrier against the zips. The covers are compatible with Hövding 3 and can stay on during recharging.

Hövding 3 was released in September after four years of research and product development to make the world’s safest head protection for cyclists even better. The new Hövding 3 is a unique new version of the airbag and offers adjustable sizing to give you the perfect fit around your neck.

Taking a proactive approach

Through its Bluetooth connectivity to smartphones, Hövding’s proactive approach opens new opportunities for the development of safer cycling in the city as it collates data on where accidents and critical situations occur. Already six months after the launch of Hövding 3, collated data shows that Hövding wearers have circumnavigated the Earth by bike 18 times.

Hövding’s ICE function (In Case of Emergency) sends an automated text message to the nominated emergency contacts as soon as the airbag is inflated. The message displays the coordinates for the accident location.

The covers Neo Mint and Leopard are now available at the recommended retail price of SEK 499.
