  • BookBeat Grows by 13 Percent, Reaching Record Highs in Both New Users and Customer Loyalty

    Audiobook streaming service BookBeat increased its revenue by 13 percent during the first half of 2026, adjusted for currency effects. The number of paying users surpasssed 1.2 million in April. BookBeat also set a new record when 10,931 people signed up to try the service. In addition, BookBeat recorded the highest customer loyalty in the company's history during the first six months of 2026.

  • BookBeat 2025: EUR 146 million in revenue, 13% growth and improved profitability

    Following a strong inflow of new paying users during the year, BookBeat's revenue increased to EUR 146 million (SEK 1.54 billion). This represents growth of 13 percent; adjusted for currency effects, growth amounted to 15 percent. Profitability improved significantly, and by the end of the year nearly 1.2 million users were paying for the service across all markets. 

  • 1.2 million users in 10 years – BookBeat turns double-digits

    On November 30, 2015, the BookBeat app became available in the App Store and on Google Play, allowing the first Swedish users to start listening to audiobooks. Ten years later, BookBeat operates in ten countries and is approaching 1.2 million users who, over the past decade, have listened to 1.3 billion hours of audiobooks.

  • BookBeat’s First Quarter of 2025: 16 Percent Growth and Record Number of New Users

    The streaming service BookBeat continues to grow steadily, and revenues grew by 16 percent during the first quarter of 2025 compared to 2024. The growth is driven by an increasing number of paying users. The quarter also saw the highest influx of new trial users ever recorded by BookBeat, both in the mature markets such as Finland, Germany and Sweden as well as internationally.
