  • Artworks by Filipino artist Fernando Amorsolo fetched sky-high prices at auction

    A flurry of bidding swept through the Danish auction house Bruun Rasmussen’s auction room on Monday evening, when three works by the Filipino artist Fernando Amorsolo went under the hammer. The winning bids far exceeded expectations, with the hammer falling at EUR 371,670 (incl. buyer’s premium), EUR 212,380 (incl. buyer’s premium) and EUR 130,970 (incl. buyer’s premium) respectively.

  • The world’s most fabled wine to be offered at auction

    Eight extremely rare bottles of Bordeaux wine are set to go under the hammer at Bruun Rasmussen on 5 December. We are, of course, referring to the iconic Château Cheval Blanc 1947, a wine described by the auction house as one of the most legendary and coveted wines in the world. The estimate is DKK 300,000–400,000.
