ニュージーランドの再生可能エネルギー企業のメリディアン・エナジー（Meridian Energy Ltd）はスウエーデンのカンデラ社と契約を締結し、同国最大の水力発電所を整備するスタッフ輸送の為、世界初の電気水中翼船Candela P-12をマナポウリ湖に導入する。
革新的な空飛ぶ（ような）船をマナポウリ湖に導入することで、炭素排出量は、ガソリン車52台を排除したと同様の、年240トンの削減が可能となる。
マナポウリ湖はニュージーランドで最も美しい湖の一つと称され、ユネスコ世界遺産（自然遺産）に登録された世界的に有名なフィヨルドランド国立公園内に位置し、ここはまた、世界で最も綺麗な水域の一つでもある。マナポウリ湖で稼働されているメリディアン社のマナポウリ水力発電 -

新西兰可再生能源公司Meridian Energy与瑞典公司Candela签署了一项协议，将世界上第一艘电动水翼渡轮Candela P-12在马纳普里湖投入使用，以便为该国最大水电站的员工和承包商提供服务。
在马纳普里湖使用新型可飞行渡船，每年将减少240吨的碳排放量——相当于从道路上移走52辆汽油车。
马纳普里湖被誉为新西兰最美湖泊之一。它位于世界著名的峡湾国家公园内，属于联合国教科文组织世界遗产保护区的一部分，同时也是世界上水质最为清澈的湖泊之一。马纳普里湖还是Meridian能源公司的马纳普里水电站所在地，该水电站每年生产的电力足以供应超过60万个普通新西兰家庭，在该国水电储能系统中扮演着关键角色。
