AMAC Aerospace Turkey: Dassault Falcon Maintenance Inspections Conducted

AMAC Aerospace’s Istanbul team has lately performed maintenance inspections on various models of Dassault Falcon aircraft.

They performed 12- and 36-month inspections, as well as a 2400-flight-hour inspection on a privately owned Dassault Falcon 2000, along with a scheduled oxygen bottle replacement. During the inspections, one of the angle of attack (AOA) sensors was found to be inoperable, so the part was replaced with a serviceable unit. A borescope inspection revealed that the fuel tanks were heavily contaminated, so the team performed pressure cleaning, fuel treatment and replaced the fuel filters. Lastly, they replaced the seals on one of the sump drain valves due to leakage and performed a systems servicing check and replenishment.

The team performed a 2-month inspection on a Dassault Falcon 2000LXS in parallel with water sterilization. They found that one of the nose wheel tires was worn to the limit, so they replaced it. A Dassault Falcon 7X also arrived for a 2-month inspection. This check was accompanied by a periodic database update, main landing gear and nose landing gear door lubrication and an APU muffler inspection.

Another 2-month inspection was performed on a Dassault Falcon 8X, along with a database update and QAR download. As per the engine manufacturer's recommendations, an engine main oil pressure adjustment was performed. During the engine run, a bleed temp fail CAS message was observed. The team immediately conducted troubleshooting and identified a temperature sensor fault. A new part was ordered on AOG basis and replaced accordingly.

The Istanbul team also traveled to Ankara to perform a 2-month inspection on a long term customers 900EX EASy at its home base.
