AMAC Aerospace Turkey: Heavy Base Maintenance Performed on Dassault Falcon 7X

AMAC Aerospace Turkey, Istanbul, has completed heavy base maintenance on a Dassault Falcon 7X of a new European customer. The aircraft underwent a 12-month and 800-flight-hour inspection, as well as a 1B-2B letter check and several out-of-phase tasks.

Several issues were identified during the inspections and AMAC Aerospace’s team worked overtime to complete the work within the same ground time despite the increased scope.

The scope of work included replacing some engine seals and packings due to signs of oil leakage. The hydraulic pump pressure switch was replaced due to a CMC (Central Maintenance Computer) message. AMAC Aerospace’s team also found that the hydraulic backup pipe was damaged and replaced it after troubleshooting.

In addition, the fuel filters on the engines and the auxiliary power unit (APU) were replaced due to fuel tank contamination. The throttle control unit was found to be faulty during the airbrake test, so the team replaced it with a serviceable unit. Lastly, several life-limited parts were replaced according to the ATA Chapter 05-20 component task requirements.

The customer was very pleased with the support and said: “Please extend our appreciation to the entire team for their efforts. We value the cooperation between organizations and look forward to continuing to work together in future projects.”
