    Sweden deploys fighter jets to NATO’s enhanced Air Policing in Poland

    For the first time, the Swedish Air Force will participate in NATO’s Enhanced Air Policing Mission with fighter jets deployed to an allied nation. A Swedish Fighter Squadron including support personnel will participate in NATO’s enhanced Air Surveillance and Quick Readiness Alert (QRA) activities in Poland.

    PRESS INVITATION: FLF LATVIA

    On October 23 and 24, the Swedish Armed Forces invites the media to visit the South Skåne Regiment and the battalion that will be deployed in Latvia as part of NATO's Forward Land Forces early next year. This troop contribution is Sweden’s first as a member of the alliance.
    The FLF Latvia force consists of approximately 600 personnel and will be part of a 14 nation strong brigade led by Canada.

    Media invitation to Baltops 24

    Baltops is the largest annual naval exercise in the Baltic Sea region. This year's edition, which runs between June 5-20, will be the first in which Sweden participates as a NATO ally.

    NATO visits Gotland

    On Tuesday 23 April, NATO military planners, under the leadership of the Joint Forces Command Brunssum, will visit the island of Gotland. The aim of the visit is to synchronize and coordinate the planning process between NATO and the Swedish Armed Forces.

    Media invitation to Swift Response

    The U.S. Army Europe & Africa exercise Swift Response (SR 24) will be conducted in the southern parts of Sweden during April and May. The Swedish Armed Forces invites media to cover the exercise on the 7th and 8th May.
