  • Approval for continued development of the port in Malmö

    Högsta domstolen has not granted permission to review the case in which Malmö stad applied to carry out land reclamation in Norra Hamnen. This means that the decision of Mark- och miljööverdomstolen stands, and the work to develop the port's capacity can continue.

  • Finnlines expands with new route between Malmö and Poland

    We are delighted that our partner Finnlines has expanded with a new route between Malmö and Świnoujście in Poland. Finnlines’ Finnfellow will operate the route daily in both directions, in the morning from Malmö and with evening service from Świnoujście. Yesterday Finnfellow set sail from Malmö for the first time on the new route.

  • New steps towards Malmö’s future carbon dioxide infrastructure

    CMP, E.ON, Nordion Energi, Sysav and Uniper have signed a partnership agreement for the development of a CO2 hub in Malmö. The collaboration is part of the regional project Carbon Network South Sweden, CNetSS, and will carry out feasibility studies to investigate the conditions for an intermediate storage facility in Norra Hamnen.

    X-Press Feeders is adding a port to their container service between Germany and Sweden - Germany Sweden Express (GSX), and Copenhagen Malmö Port, CMP, becomes part of the route. The first container ship arrived at Norra Hamnen in Malmö yesterday.

  • Phasing out natural gas in favour of biogas - up 70 per cent less CO₂ emissions

    CMP established has a clear target of being climate neutral in our own operations by 2025. An integral part of this work is our transition from natural gas to biogas for the heating of CMP’s properties in Malmö. The decision to phase out natural gas was made near the end of 2020 and the shift was accomplished in the beginning of last year.
