Historic Hotel in Denmark Completes Major Renovation
Following an extensive renovation, Four Points Flex Køge is now ready to welcome guests with modernised rooms, new studio apartments with private kitchen facilities, and a new lounge that serves as the hotel’s central gathering point.
Four Points Flex Køge has opened the doors to its fully renovated hotel. The renovation has significantly upgraded both the guest rooms and communal areas, creating a more modern and flexible setting for both leisure and business travellers.
Among the new additions are nine studio apartments with private kitchen facilities, designed particularly for guests staying in Køge for longer periods or simply looking for more space and amenities than a traditional hotel stay provides.
The hotel’s communal areas have also been given a new lease of life. A new lounge provides the setting for the breakfast buffet while being designed for use throughout the day – whether for work, a break, or simply relaxing.
“Our focus has been on creating a hotel where functionality and a modern look go hand in hand. It is not simply about new rooms and furniture, but about creating spaces that reflect the way guests use hotels today. At the same time, it was important to us to preserve elements of the hotel’s history and reuse what still had value. A number of the existing chairs have therefore been given a new lease of life with new upholstery, while sections of the flooring from the building’s former nightclub have been transformed into a table in the breakfast restaurant. In this way, flexibility, reuse and respect for the hotel’s history have been incorporated throughout the entire project,” says Sebina Christensen, Project Coordinator at Core Hospitality.
As part of the new facilities, the hotel has also introduced a 24/7 self-service kiosk where guests can purchase snacks and other essentials around the clock. Ideal for when cravings strike at unusual hours.
For Lene Buhl Haslund Jensen, General Manager at Four Points Flex Køge, the renovation means the hotel can now offer guests an improved overall experience.
“It is fantastic to be able to welcome our guests to our renovated hotel. We now have spaces that we are incredibly proud of. In particular, our new lounge gives the hotel a natural gathering point, while the studio apartments allow us to offer a great solution for guests staying with us for longer periods,” says Lene Buhl Haslund Jensen.
Four Points Flex Køge is part of Core Hospitality’s portfolio of Four Points Flex hotels in Denmark and operates under a Marriott International brand.
