Zum wiederholten Male unterstützt die Aroundtown Foundation den etablierten Verein Horizont München e.V. der Schauspielerin Jutta Speidel bei seiner Arbeit mit wohnungslosen Kindern und Müttern.
Bereits 2021 spendete die Aroundtown Foundation dem Verein und ermöglichte so die Realisierung einer Podcast-Reihe für Jugendliche in der eigenen Kulturbühne. Personen aus dem öffentlichen Leben dienten als Vorbilder für die sozial benachteiligten Jugendlichen und wurden zu einem Gespräch eingeladen, das aufgezeichnet und über digitale Kanäle gestreamt wurde. Jugendliche aus dem HORIZONT-Haus und dem Viertel hatten so die Möglichkeit, online Fragen an den Gesprächspartner zu stellen und Gästewünsche einzureichen. Mit Aktionen wie diesen werden den Jugendlichen alternative Lebenswege aufgezeigt. Durch die Interviews sollen sie inspiriert und ermutigt werden, die eigene Zukunft aktiv zu gestalten.
Die Spende 2022 setzt an dieser Stelle an und unterstützt beim Ausbau der Podcast-Reihe. Außerdem diente ein weiterer Teil der Unterstützung die Einführung einer Kindertheater-Klassik-Reihe.
Der Verein HORIZONT e.V. wurde 1997 von Jutta Speidel gegründet, um Mütter – zusammen mit ihren Kindern – sowie sozial benachteiligte Familien – ohne festen Wohnsitz – aufzunehmen und zu betreuen. In diesem Jahr feiert die Initiative ihr 25-jähriges Bestehen. Sie hat bereits mehr als 2.800 Menschen in ein selbstständiges Leben begleitet. Dafür betreibt HORIZONT e.V. eine betreute Einrichtung für traumatisierte Familien mit 26 Wohnungen sowie ein offenes Haus, in dem 48 Familien ein dauerhaftes Zuhause finden, oder bereits gefunden haben. Ein drittes Gebäude ist derzeit in Planung. In den Häusern erhalten die Bewohner auch gezielte Hilfe bei der Bewältigung akuter Krisen, um ihre Lebenssituation insgesamt langfristig zu verbessern und zu stabilisieren. Ziel ist es, den Familien zeitnah ein selbstbestimmtes Leben mit neuen Perspektiven zu ermöglichen.

Horizont München e.V. association receives financial support from Aroundtown Foundation
Once again, the Aroundtown Foundation supports the established association Horizont München e.V. of actress Jutta Speidel in its work with homeless children and mothers.
As in 2021, the Aroundtown Foundation donated to the association, enabling the realization of a podcast series for young people in its own cultural stage. Public figures served as role models for the socially disadvantaged youth and were invited to participate in a conversation that was recorded and streamed through digital channels. Young people from the HORIZONT house and the neighborhood thus had the opportunity to ask questions to the interviewer online and submit guest requests. Activities such as these are intended to show young people alternative ways of life. The interviews are meant to inspire and encourage them to actively shape their own future.
The donation 2022 continues at this point and supports the expansion of the podcast series. In addition, another part of the support provided was the introduction of a children's theater classical series.
The association HORIZONT e.V. was founded in 1997 by Jutta Speidel to take in and care for mothers - together with their children - as well as socially disadvantaged families without a permanent residence. This year, the initiative celebrates its 25th anniversary. It has already accompanied more than 2,800 people into an independent life. For this purpose, HORIZONT e.V. operates a supervised facility for traumatized families with 26 apartments, as well as an open house where 48 families are finding, or have already found, a permanent home. A third building is currently being planned. The aim is to enable the families to lead self-determined lives with new prospects in a timely manner.
