Aroundtown hat den Umbau von Serviced Apartments im Gebäude Alte Post am Königswall in Dortmund abgeschlossen. Das ehemalige Bürogebäude wurde vollständig entkernt und in moderne Apartments umgewandelt, die hohen Wohnkomfort mit dem Service und der Flexibilität eines Hospitality-Konzepts verbinden. Entstanden sind über 50 Serviced Apartments, die langfristig an den Hospitality-Betreiber Bob W vermietet wurden. Bob W hat für die Flächen einen Mietvertrag über 15 Jahre unterzeichnet.

Mit verlässlichen Standards auf Hotelniveau, der Funktionalität eines Apartments und einer technologiegestützten Guest Journey ermöglicht Bob W sowohl kurze als auch längere Aufenthalte, ohne ein klassisches Hotelkonzept vorauszusetzen. Der abgeschlossene Umbau ist ein wichtiger Schritt in der nutzungsorientierten Weiterentwicklung der Alten Post zum gemischt genutzten Gebäude und stärkt den Standort in zentraler Lage direkt am Dortmunder Hauptbahnhof.

Conversion of Serviced Apartments at Königswall in Dortmund Completed: Aroundtown Continues Mixed-Use Strategy

Bob W opens new serviced apartments at Alte Post in Dortmund, bringing a locally rooted hospitality concept to the historic city-centre building.

Aroundtown has completed the conversion of serviced apartments in the Alte Post building on Königswall in Dortmund. The former office building was fully stripped out and converted into modern apartments that combine a high level of residential comfort with the service and flexibility of a hospitality concept. More than 50 serviced apartments have been created and leased long-term to hospitality operator Bob W which has signed a 15-year lease for the space.

Combining hotel-level consistency, apartment-style functionality and a tech-enabled guest journey, Bob W supports both short and longer stays without requiring a conventional hotel setup, creating value for guests, owners and the surrounding neighbourhood.

Each studio and one-bedroom serviced apartment is fully furnished and includes a fully equipped kitchen and private bathroom. The completed conversion marks an important step in the use-oriented further development of Alte Post into a mixed-use property and strengthens the asset’s central location directly next to Dortmund Central Station.
