Leading Companies Are Joining Forces to Develop Hydrogen Infrastructure for Road Freight Transport

Leading companies from the transport, energy, and industrial sectors are collaborating with policymakers in Germany on a blueprint for a fully integrated hydrogen ecosystem for heavy-duty road freight transport. The aim is to enable customers to operate hydrogen-powered vehicles at competitive total cost of ownership, thereby accelerating the adoption of this technology.

The focus is on scaling competitive vehicles, developing strategically located refueling infrastructure that meets customer needs, and ensuring reliable access to hydrogen at affordable prices. Participating companies include Daimler Truck, Volvo Group, Toyota Motor Corporation, Bosch, Air Liquide, TotalEnergies, TEAL Mobility, and MB Energy. According to the companies, all details will be announced at a press conference on September 15th during the IAA Commercial Vehicles show in Hanover.
