Conrad Laursen determined to defend championship lead at Nürburgring

The Danish Ferrari driver has a championship lead to defend as he lines up for the fourth round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Nürburgring this weekend.

Conrad Laursen has been on flying form in this year’s GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. After winning two rounds of the season – including the legendary 24 Hours of Spa in June – the Dane and his Kessel Racing squad have fought their way to the top of the Bronze Cup standings. It is a position Laursen is determined to defend when the battle resumes this weekend at Nürburgring.

“We still haven’t come down after our victory at Spa-Francorchamps, and now it’s all about building on that momentum. We have a fantastic team around us, and we’ve done a really strong job so far. But every new race in this series is a massive challenge, and the competition is fierce. If we keep performing the way we have, I’m confident we can secure another top result and hopefully strengthen our lead,” said Conrad Laursen.

As in the previous rounds, the 19-year-old Dane will once again team up with Dennis Marschall and Dustin Blattner. While the trio leads the Endurance Cup – consisting of five long-distance races – Marschall and Blattner also lead the Sprint Cup, which means they are in control of the overall GT World Challenge Europe Bronze Cup standings.

The fourth round of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup at Nürburgring goes green on Sunday, August 31 at 15:00 CEST. The three-hour race will be streamed live on YouTube.
