Conrad Laursen Aiming For Top Result at Spa-Francorchamps

The Danish Ferrari driver returns to the track where he claimed a class victory earlier this summer in the 24-hour race – this weekend it’s all about the European Le Mans Series.

After two fifth-place finishes and a fourth place in this year’s European Le Mans Series, Conrad Laursen is targeting his first podium of the season as he lines up for the fourth round of the European Championship for sports cars with AF Corse. There is reason for optimism, as this weekend’s four-hour race takes place at Spa-Francorchamps, where the Dane secured a class win just two months ago in the legendary 24-hour race.

“I arrive at Spa-Francorchamps with great memories, having achieved a really strong result earlier this summer. This weekend I’ll be racing with a different team and in a completely different series, but that doesn’t change the fact that Spa is one of my absolute favourite tracks, and I can’t wait to get started,” says Conrad Laursen.

Laursen will race alongside his regular AF Corse teammates, Davide Rigon and Charles-Henri Samani. The trio demonstrated their pace in the previous round at Imola, where they crossed the finish line on the podium but had to settle for fourth place after a time penalty.

The fourth round of the European Le Mans Series at Spa-Francorchamps kicks off with qualifying on Saturday, August 23, while the four-hour race goes green on Sunday, August 24 at 13:00. The race can be followed live on YouTube.
