Press release -

Luca Magnussen sets expectations high ahead of GB4 finale

Following solid preparations, the young Danish driver aims to conclude his rookie season in the British GB4 Championship with a strong result.

Following a both challenging and educational rookie season in the GB4 Championship, Luca Magnussen is now ready for the seventh and final round of the series, held at the same venue where the demanding junior category kicked off back in spring – Donington Park. It is a circuit the 16-year-old talent feels at home on, especially after this week’s preparations, where he showed promising pace across two days of testing.

“I am really looking forward to the finale, especially after this week’s test where I was consistently inside the top eight in both dry and wet conditions. That naturally gives us very high expectations, and I hope we can deliver on them and finish the season in a great way,” said Luca Magnussen.

The 2025 edition of the GB4 Championship has been Magnussen’s debut season in single-seaters, with the goal not being to fight for a title, but to focus on development and build a progressive learning curve. It is a goal the Dane has achieved – highlighted by his first podium finish with second place in a difficult race at Oulton Park.

“Since I am not fighting for a championship position, I can put everything into chasing a top result, while others may drive more defensively as they need to protect their standings. Combined with the positive signs during the test sessions, I believe we can reach high up the field this weekend,” explained Magnussen.

The seventh and final round of the GB4 Championship takes place at Donington Park this coming weekend, with qualifying and Race 1 scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at 12:35 and 19:00 CET, while Races 2 and 3 go green on Sunday, October 5, at 10:10 and 12:45. All races will be streamed live on YouTube.
