  Tallinn-Helsinki ferry line celebrated its 50th reopening anniversary

  On July 7, the Port of Tallinn celebrated the 50-year anniversary of re-establishing regular ferry service between Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, and Helsinki, the capital of Finland. On the occasion of shipping line's 50th anniversary, Ain Kaljurand and Port of Helsinki's Director Kimmo Mäki placed in Old City Harbour’s A-terminal a memorial shield commemorating the first journey of the ship.

  Finnish Food Tourism develops in Estonia

  Finnish food & Tourism experiences shared in Estonia Haaga-Helia has been developing Finnish food tourism alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and Finpro/Visit Finland from the year 2012. Now the development is widening to the other side of the Gulf of Finland - with the contribution of BOSS (From Borders to Shared Space) project.

  Haaga-Helia Hospitality Competence Center in Estonia participated at X National Tourism Conference

  Sven Lööndre and Ain Hinsberg were invited by the organizers - Estonian Travel and Tourism Association and Enterprise Estonia/Estonian Tourist Board - to participate at the traditional national tourism conference in Estonia held for the 10th time. This time the event was held in Pärnu on September 17-18 at the newly re-opened Estonia Resort Hotel & Spa conference center.

  From Borders to Shared Space - BOSS Project Supports Development of Estonian Food Tourism

  BOSS From Borders to Shared Space program funds among other projects run by Haaga-Helia Supporting Development of Estonian Food Tourism, which had its first workshop held on October 8th in Tallinn. Up to 20 key food, tourism and food tourism stakeholders were convened at FoodStudio under the title „Strategic Context of Food Tourism“.

  Culinary Gulf of Finland, a BOSS-funded project, observed under an entrepreneurial angle.

  ​The BOSS From Borders to Shared Space program fund, among other projects run by Haaga-Helia, is supporting the development of Estonian food tourism in the project Culinary Gulf of Finland, which had its second workshop held on October 30th in Tallinn within the the 16th Tallinn FoodFair (TFF). Around 20 food, tourism and food tourism entrepreneurs and other stakeholders convened at the fair.

  Tourism in Helsinki and Tallinn - two cities, one destination - as a topic in Haaga-Helia and EBS cooperation

  Haaga-Helia UAS and EBS have decided that the content format framework of their research, development and innovation cooperation is the economic integration between Estonia and Finland with a closer focus on the Helsinki-Tallinn twin capital region. Among the research topics to be addressed, tourism in the twin capital destination is also targeted.

  Tallinn was ranked 46th in the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranking for 2014 released this summer among 1594 destinations all over the world, as 54 of the events held in Tallinn qualified as international conferences according to ICCA criteria.
