Tallinn ranked 46th in ICCA ranking for 2014

Tallinn was ranked 46th in the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranking for 2014 released this summer among 1594 destinations all over the world, as 54 of the events held in Tallinn qualified as international conferences according to ICCA criteria.

The ICCA is an international organisation dedicated to coordinating and overall structuring of events globally. It also serves as a wide networking platform for businesses and individuals within the meetings sector, and an educational ground for the mentioned stakeholders.

Their ranking measures the top global destination choices for holding international meetings, and serves as a very strong measure for the reputation of such cities. The first in the rank is Paris, for second consecutive year.

In 2013 Tallinn was 90th with 27 international conferences, meeting ICCA requirements.

In the European rankings, Tallinn holds 25th place nowadays.

Estonia was ranked in 44th place in 2014 among 162 countries – quite a jump from the 55th place in 2013.

As the economy continues to grow, and Estonia becomes a more interesting destination, it seems that the position will seek to improve in the near future.
