Beat Feuz is on the verge of successfully defending his Downhill World Cup title. Following his second place in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the HEAD World Cup Rebel is only six points short of victory. Wendy Holdener nailed another two podium finishes in Kranjska Gora in Slalom and Giant Slalom.

Back in January Corinne Suter celebrated her first World Cup Downhill victory. This Sunday in Garmisch-Partenkirchen the Swiss athlete bagged her first victory in the Super-G. Her compatriot Wendy Holdener was in third place. Suter continues to lead in the Downhill World Cup. German athlete Alexander Schmid stepped up to the podium for the first time at the Parallel Giant Slalom in Chamonix.
These skis were tested for the first time on Thursday. The first time they were raced - in the Giant Slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on Sunday - saw Alexis Pinturault take victory. His HEAD World Cup Rebels team-mate and fellow countryman Johan Clarey finished third in the Downhill on Saturday.
HEAD World Cup Rebel Alexis Pinturault snatches second place at the legendary Night Race in Schladming. For the French athlete it was the second best Slalom result this season following his victory in Val d'Isere.
Double victory in the Downhill for Matthias Mayer and Beat Feuz, double victory in the Super-G for Kjetil Jansrud and Mayer. Both winners - Mayer and Jansrud - used a new model of ski. That was topped by Elena Curtoni in the Downhill in Bansko on Saturday with her first World Cup victory. Lara Gut-Behrami celebrates her first podium finish this season in the Super-G.

Matthias Mayer celebrated a sensational victory at the Combined event in Wengen on Friday. Second place went to his HEAD team-mate Alexis Pinturault. That was followed by Beat Feuz's awesome third victory on the Lauberhorn run on Saturday.
With the fastest time on the second run, HEAD World Cup Rebel Anna Swenn-Larsson from Sweden bagged second place in the Night Slalom in Flachau. Fourth place went to Wendy Holdener from Switzerland.

Following two podium finishes in Downhill and Super-G in Lake Louise, the 25-year-old Swiss athlete achieved her first World Cup victory on Saturday in the Downhill in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee. Wendy Holdener crowned the powerful performance of the women HEAD Rebels in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee on Sunday with 2nd place in the Combined event.
An awesome Super-G performance provided the basis for Alexis Pinturault nailing his third victory of the season at the Combined event in Bormio on Sunday. HEAD Rebels Beat Feuz and Matthias Mayer also bagged podium finishes in Bormio on the two Downhill races.
Kjetil Jansrud missed his 23rd Super-G World Cup victory in Gröden on Friday by just five hundredths of a second. However, his second place was the first podium finish for the Norwegian this season. With a total of 14 athletes in the top 30, the HEAD World Cup Rebels were an extremely strong team.
