Lara Colturi becomes a HEAD Worldcup Rebel

Lara Colturi is now the fourth high-profile new addition to the HEAD Worldcup Rebels! The 19-year-old sky prodigy, who represents the Albanian Ski Federation, will strengthen the HEAD team in the coming season, joining Henrik Kristoffersen, Christof Innerhofer and Alice Robinson. In her World Cup rookie season, at 16 years old, Lara conquered multiple top 20 results and won the gold medal in Super-G and the bronze in GS at the Junior World Championships. Improving progressively and still a teenager, over the past two seasons, Lara Colturi has made a major impression with seven World Cup podium finishes in slalom and giant slalom.

“Lara Colturi is an exceptionally strong athlete for her age. With her background — her mother and coach is Olympic champion Daniela Ceccarelli, and a more or less independent team of her own — this is a very exciting story for us. I expect her to be one of the defining athletes in the World Cup over the next few years,” emphasizes HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber. “Her specialist disciplines are slalom and giant slalom. But she will also add Super-G where it makes sense. Speed events naturally require a good development phase. But I see Lara Colturi as one of the few all-rounders who can be very strong across several disciplines. I’m also pleased that her service technician Andrea Vianello is taking this step with her. We have known him for some time, as he has already looked after several of our athletes. This is certainly a very good solution for Lara Colturi.”

“HEAD Worldcup Rebels prove their leading position season after season”

“I am very happy to begin this collaboration with HEAD. I immediately felt very comfortable both with the team and with the equipment,” says Lara Colturi. “Season after season, the HEAD Worldcup Rebels prove their leading position in terms of performance and competitiveness across all disciplines. I am very happy to have the support of such a great company. I’m also pleased that my service technician from the past three seasons, Andrea Vianello, will continue to accompany us on this journey with HEAD, ensuring continuity within our team.”
