Second Gold for Franjo von Allmen

This is Franjo von Allmen's World Championship! Following his Gold in the Downhill on Wednesday, the Swiss athlete wins a second World Championship title with Loic Meillard as Switzerland 1 in the men's Team Combined event in Saalbach.

Franjo von Allmen set the second-fastest time on the Downhill run, just two hundredths of a second behind the winner Alexis Monney.

"Seeing Franjo von Allmen leave Saalbach as double world champion is superb for him, and for us," said a delighted HEAD Racing Director Rainer Salzgeber. "He was already skiing great races leading up to the World Championships before fully focusing on the championship competitions. In the Downhill in the Team Combined event, he was only two hundredths behind the leader despite making a mistake, so everything worked really well again. It was a very exciting competition. Team United States of America 1 - with Benjamin Ritchie and Ryan Cochran-Siegle; both of whom are HEAD athletes - only just missed out on the medals in fourth place."
