日立が英国都市間高速鉄道計画向け車両を笠戸事業所より出荷開始
株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼COO:東原 敏昭／以下、日立)は、2014年11月に公開した英国運輸省(DfT : Department for Transport)の都市間高速鉄道計画(IEP : Intercity Express Programme)向け車両の先行生産車両1編成を完成させ、本日、笠戸事業所(山口県下松市)より出荷を開始しました。
なお、本プロジェクトは英国運輸省が主導するPPP(Public Private Partnership)スキームで実施されており、株式会社国際協力銀行および、独立行政法人日本貿易保険などによる金融支援を受けています。
