東海道新幹線車両向けにSiCハイブリッドモジュールを適用した主変換装置を開発
株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼COO:東原 敏昭/以下、日立)は、このたび、パワーモジュールにSiC(Silicon Carbide:炭化ケイ素)ハイブリッドモジュールを適用した新幹線車両用主変換装置を、東海旅客鉄道株式会社(代表執行役社長:柘植 康英/以下、JR東海)と共同で開発しました。本主変換装置をJR東海のN700系新幹線車両に搭載し、走行試験を実施した結果、主変換装置の小型軽量化や、主回路システム全体の省エネルギー化を実現しつつ、実用化レベルの性能が得られていることが確認されました。
なお、高速鉄道用の主変換装置にSiCハイブリッドモジュールを適用した、営業線上での試験走行は世界初となります。
