SPP is expanding its social commitment and will serve eco-labelled and Fairtrade certified fine-grind coffee in all its units. The coffee is delivered by their partner for many years, Löfbergs Lila.
The segment of whole beans is steadily growing on the Swedish market. At the same time, Löfbergs Lila wins market shares. The family-owned coffee-roaster is now investing in a completely new packaging line that ensures the security of supply. In the midst of it all, the company is improving its packaging in a number of respects.
New taste preferences give new kinds of coffee. In February, Löfbergs Lila is launching a new blend to meet the increased demand on coffee with Southern European characteristics: Continental Blend.
The Barista Cup - or the Swedish espresso championships - is coming to Karlstad. On Februay 14, Löfbergs Lila and its café Rosteriet are hosting one of four events in the prestigious championships. It is the first time that the competition is held in the sunny town.
Löfbergs Lila's assortment of whole beans is expanding. Shortly, Kharisma and Jubileum, two of the company's most popular fine-grind coffee, will launch as whole beans. This means that Löfbergs Lila is expanding its assortment of whole beans and offers a number of different characteristics.
Shortly, Löfbergs Lila will be first in Sweden with Fairtrade certified coffee capsules. This as a part of the company's investment in sustainability, where one goal is that all coffee that Löfbergs Lila sells will be certified within five years.
Löfbergs Lila's coffee capsules enter the food retailing widely. ICA, City Gross (Bergendahls) and Konsum Värmland will start selling the capsules from Löfbergs Lila. As from the beginning of February, there will be espresso, fine-grind coffee and chocolate capsules from Löfbergs Lila and Cloetta on the shelves.
Swedes are buying more and more whole coffee beans. In the last year, the sales have increased with 20 per cent. An increased interest for food and drinks is behind the upswing.
Cloetta and Löfbergs Lila are starting a new exciting cooperation when Löfbergs Lila is launching three new chocolate capsules with the classic taste of Cloetta.
Löfbergs Lila is really widening its assortment of capsules. Shortly, the family business from Karlstad will be first in Sweden with Fairtrade certfied coffee capsules. At the same time, three capsules with chocolate flavours are launched in cooperation with Cloetta. Those who drink tea will also get their fill as Löfbergs Lila starts selling Kobbs tea in capsules.
