    I et nylig avsluttet klinisk forsøk i Praha deltok 51 kvinner i alderen 65-80 år i et trimprogram tre ganger i uka over en periode på 16 uker. Under behandlingen ble kvinnene delt i to grupper, der den ene fikk en daglig dose av Calanus® Oil (tilsvarende 230 mg EPA og DHA), mens kontrollgruppen fikk solsikkeolje som placebo. Studien var randomisert og blindet.
