Alingsås Energi was awarded first prize for 2022's best lighting design event at the [d]arc awards ceremony in London on Thursday, beating out numerous international events. The [d]arc awards are organized by arc magazine, a globally recognized lighting design publication.
Under torsdagens prisutdelning på [d]arc awards i London tog Alingsås Energi emot första priset för 2022 års bästa ljusdesignevent i konkurrens med många andra internationella evenemang. Arrangören är den internationella tidskriften arc magazine, som är en av världens mest lästa och respekterade ljusdesignpublikationer.
Nästa torsdag kommer årets utvalda ljusdesigners som till Alingsås. Under hela nästa helg pågår konceptmötet som är starten på Lights in Alingsås 2023. During the event Alingsås is alive with activity, and in recent years Lights in Alingsås has resulted in over 70,000 visits to the town in October. The lighting festival is an important international meeting place for lighting designers, students and companies. Since 2018, Lights in Alingsås has been run by Alingsås Energi.
Reflektioner – ett ord som symboliserar grogrunden för förändring. När ljus reflekteras så kommer det att sprida sig, ändra kurs eller brytas. Likaså om en tanke utsätts för reflektion så kommer det att generera nya idéer, drömmar och insikter. Lights in Alingsås vill i år rikta ljuset på möjligheterna som finns i 7,9 miljarder människors reflektioner.
På torsdag 24 mars anländer de utvalda ljusdesigners som fått uppdraget som workshopsledare under Lights in Alingsås 2022. Under helgen kommer de att bekanta sig med teamet bakom Lights in Alingsås, projektet i helhet samt staden Alingsås. De får även gå den valda slingan och välja plats för sina installationer.
Alingsås Energi erbjuder i samarbete med Sparbanken Alingsås alla kommunens äldreboenden en guidning av årets evenemang.
1 October marks the opening of the twenty-second edition of Lights in Alingsås. The theme for this year is ‘Together’. The world has changed quite a bit since the last ‘normal’ edition of Lights in Alingsås was held in 2019. The pandemic may not be over yet, but the time has come to slowly start reconvening, albeit at a safe distance.
Lights in Alingsås came in an honorable second place in the prestigious lighting design competition (d)arc awards in the Event category last week. The gala, which was to be held in December 2020, was postponed for a few months and finally broadcasted digitally from London. The (d)arc awards is the only peer-to-peer international lighting awards.

The aim of this year’s Lights in Alingsås lighting festival is to help visitors see and remember lighter moments in their everyday lives. The darker things are, the brighter they shine. Now Lights in Alingsås has revealed this year’s installations, the theme of which is Find the Lights, a continuation of last year’s theme, Be the Light.

Nytt för i år är att det inte är en specifik slinga som besökaren följer utan det är ett antal installationer utspridda i centrala Alingsås och ett par stycken en bit utanför stadskärnan.
