This year, FANUC Nordic has started a collaboration with one of the Swedish Higher Vocational Educations (Yrkeshögskolan Jönköping), to contribute to faster skills development. The demand for professionally trained engineers is high throughout Europe and there is a great shortage of them.
FANUC and Volvo Cars have signed a global contract that sets out a programme of robot supply to the automotive manufacturer’s plants across the globe. The contract will see FANUC provide industrial robots for all the various production shops included in a modern car manufacturing facility, including new battery production facilities in Europe, Asia and America.

Ghirardello succeeds Shinichi Tanzawa, who has been leading the company since 2016 and will return to FANUC Headquarter for a new assignment.
