The current invitation to acquire shares through Pepins.com coincides with a 1.8 million euro investment from institutional investors.
Multi-award winning plant-based frozen pizza brand, One Planet Pizza are now available in Sweden. Kale Foods, which is part of the investment company Kale United, are launching a range of mouth watering vegan pizzans from British One Planet Pizza. The full range of frozen pizzas are now available to consumers from online retailer Vembla in Stockholm and Malmö, as well as in food service.
In November 2021, Kale United acquired the vegan meal kit company Enkla kassen in a move to create a direct distribution channel between its plant-based food businesses and end-consumers. Kale United today announced that it is investing a further one million euros in the company. It also announced the appointment of a new CEO, Bea Garcia, who founded the unmanned grocery store chain Lifvs.
In 2022, Kale Foods will extend its major investments within the Swedish vegan food industry under its own brand name Astrid & Aporna, whilst bringing several internationally acclaimed plant-based food products to the market. Anders Nilback will take up his new position as CEO of Kale Foods on the 1st March 2022 and brings to the role more than 25 years of experience in the food business.
