With about six weeks left until the opening of the biennial, the full list of the participating artists for 2019 is now being unveiled. This year’s exhibition will feature 60 artists, representing 19 different nationalities, who will together exhibit over 80 artworks in Örebro’s city centre.
The team behind OpenArt likes to be a little secretive. We can hardly contain ourselves now – but we hope we have been able to keep everyone else in suspense… So here it is: The OpenART opening will be held on 18 June at 1:00 pm in the middle of Olaigatan. Outside Örebro Art Gallery, opposite the Castle by Henry Allard Park, we are going to start things off with a major happening.

Suddenly homeless artworks find sanctuary in their own Art Station at this year’s OpenART. This summer, art will occupy not only the urban spaces in Örebro. In some cases, an indoor haven of refuge is needed – what we might otherwise call art galleries.
