Press release -

Turnpike to scale SaaS platform and accelerate growth with new clients and capital

Turnpike is moving full-speed ahead, scaling with new commercial contracts and moving into a series-A funding round in Q1 2022. Turnpike aims to accelerate commercial efforts, and secure a leadership position in SaaS solutions for frontline employees.

“2021 has been a year for Turnpike to prepare for expansion. We’ve fine-tuned our offering, gathering invaluable feedback from customers like H&M and Willys to ensure that our solution is a ‘must-have’ for solving frontline employees’ highest priority pain points,“ says Carl Norberg, co-founder and Chairman.

"We’ve secured key commercial contracts and strengthened the leadership team with a new CEO and international sales expertise, while adding seasoned veterans to our board like Oscar Bjers, ex-CEO of Apple Sweden and Tomas Franzén, Axel Johnson board member and ex-CEO of Comhem."

Turnpike has been awarded the ”Start Up of the Year 2021” by Microsoft Sweden and was acknowledged last week for it’s innovative HR tech by Dagens Industri, the largest business publication in Sweden. Read the full article here where Jonas Borglin, CEO and new investor and board member Tomas Franzén explain the need for smarter retail solutions, and how smartwatches will play a key role in that transformation.

If you don’t have time to read the full article, here are the top 7 take aways:

• The ease of online shopping is putting pressure on physical retailers to provide better service and convenience.
• Retail staff schedules often change by the hour, while tasks and requests can change by the minute, making wearables an ideal distribution channel for updates.
• Turnpike is already live in fashion stores like H&M, and are expanding in the grocery sector with customers like Willys, Coop and ICA.
"Stores are in general under-invested in digital tools, our solution is a way to secure competitiveness towards others and future-proof stores now when physical and e-com stores get increasingly integrated.” says Jonas Borglin, CEO Turnpike.
"The store experience have been the same over my entire life. Turnpike solves some key pain points with the stand-alone, concrete solution.” says Tomas Franzén, board member Turnpike.
• After the summer Turnpike closed a bridge round from current investors and a couple of new strong individuals.
• Turnpike is targeting an A-round in Q1 2022 with funding conversations already underway. New funds will be applied to scaling the commercial reach and establishing a global leadership position in SaaS-solutions for frontline staff.
