Press release -

A month to go to this year’s most important construction meeting - Nordbygg

Just a month to go until Nordbygg welcomes the whole industry to this year’s most important construction meeting. The last preparations for the fair are underway and the stage programmes are nearly set. All that is missing are the visitors and the exhibitors.

On April 26–29, Nordbygg will be offering exciting meetings and several stages with interesting and topical programmes. For the content of the fair to be as current and relevant as possible for both exhibitors and visitors, Nordbygg has enlisted the help of the organizing group. The organizing group for Nordbygg consists of Byggmaterialindustrierna (Construction material industries), Energi- och miljötekniska föreningen (The Association for energy and environmental technology), Glasbranschföreningen (The Glass industry association), Svensk Byggtjänst (Swedish construction service), Svensk Ventilation (Swedish ventilation) and VVS Fabrikanterna (HVAC producers).

– Nordbygg will be a great meeting-place where actors can see interesting lectures and also showcase their products and solutions for accomplishing a sustainable conversion. Our member companies play an important role in this conversion and Nordbygg is a great arena to show what we can contribute. I think that the Energy Smart stage will attract many visitors, says Jonny Hellman, CEO at VVS-Fabrikanterna.

There will be great focus on sustainability and climate-related issues on two of Nordbygg’s stages, the Indoor Climate Arena and the Energy Smart stage.

– We look forward to all the knowledge-hungry visitors who want to take part of the seminar content of the Indoor Climate Arena. We have a jam-packed programme which will touch upon health, productivity, energy efficiency, sustainability, climate, and much more, says Britta Permats, CEO at Svensk Ventilation.

The seminars are mainly held in Swedish.

Building housing for more people

An urgent issue for the construction industry in Sweden is the construction of housing and the lack of housing for both young adults and adults. Henrik Mellstam, Vice President at Coreco AB and co-author of the book ‘Bygg för fler’ (Construct for more people), explains how we can create good housing for more people and how the problem can be solved.

– It is about getting the unbalance between supply and demand sorted. You have to see housing as a product and adopt the methods we have developed for other industries with product development and efficient production and see beyond a single project, says Henrik Melkstam.

At Nordbygg, the industry’s actors gather for the most important and most interesting construction meeting of the year. All the latest in the industry is highlighted with topical programmes and seminars. Don’t forget to secure your ticket to Nordbygg to be able to take part of all the exciting things that will be happening on April 26-29.
