Trend spotting ahead of Nordbygg 2022

Soltech Energy is a complete supplier of energy and photovoltaic solutions and a dedicated exhibitor at Nordbygg. In the past few years, the development in the solar energy industry has taken off, even though it is still rather untapped to this day. Today, solar energy makes up for about one percent of our energy consumption and the goal for 2040 is to increase that to 10 percent.

– For society to become more ripe for photovoltaic solutions, we need to meet people and that’s where Nordbygg is an incredibly important platform. We will be showing our building integrated solar panels and above all talk about solar energy, energy management and energy storage of solar energy, says Josefin Sollander, Head of Communications at Soltech Energy.

The construction curve turns upwards

Even though Spring 2020 chopped up the construction curve a little bit, housing has made good progress since then. During 2021, there was a steep increase in construction tempo and the upward-rising curve is expected to continue the coming year.

– We have an extremely strong economy and the economy situation is stable right now, which bodes well for next years, the future looks bright and we can expect a continued increase in construction, says Tor Borg, Head of Analytics for Byggfakta and CityMark Analys.

Tor Borg takes part in the latest Nordbygg Talks: together with Karin Kjellson, architect and part-owner of Theory in Practice, where they among other things discuss trends in Swedish construction.

– I believe we will see a trend in recycling going forward. It is still very easy to demolish, but I think and hope that we will see a development in using existing structures.

New Project Manager for Nordbygg

Nordbygg will have a new asset ahead of the fair in 2022. On January 3rd, Lina Hann assumes the role of Project Manager for Nordbygg and she will be succeeding Peter Söderberg, who successfully has project managed Nordbygg for almost 20 years. Lina Hann will be working parallel with Peter Söderberg until Nordbygg 2022 has been carried through.

– I am very excited to take over from Peter. He and his team have together with the actors of the industry created an exceptionally strong venue, important to the whole of the public construction sector. I look forward to the opportunity to continue Nordbygg’s journey of development together with them, says Lina Hann, incoming Project Manager.
