13. elokuuta Pohjoismaiden johtavana sisustusalan uusien tuotteiden, trendien sekä osaamisen ja inspiraation kohtauspaikkana tunnetuilla Formex-messuilla valitaan vuoden pohjoismainen muotoilija, joka saa Nova Design Award -palkinnon. Palkinto myönnetään nuorelle Pohjoismaissa työskentelevälle muotoilijalle.
Lisa Bengtsson, Malin Lundmark, Form for you, Sofia Hagelin, Sebastian Kjersén, Kristoffer Fagerström, Simon Key Bertman and Johan Lindsten are some of today’s established designers who started their careers at Young Designers – Formex’s platform for young, unknown designers.
On August 13, Formex will award the Nova Design Award – Nordic Designer of the Year for the fourth consecutive year. The award will go to a young designer working in the Nordic region who has been selected by an expert jury. The nominees this year are:
Formex, which will be held August 13-16, will have a trend exhibition in Stockholmsmässan’s Entrance Hall presenting four of next season’s most important trends: Soft Nordic, Wild Wood, Dark Fragrance and Raw Rustic Junction. The designer behind the exhibition is Jan Rundgren.
People are talking about a second wave and rebirth of design rooted in the Scandinavian design of the 1950s. Soft Nordic will be this fall’s trend theme at Formex, August 13–16. The style is pure and clean, with rounded shapes, exclusive materials and a playful look.
4 February sees the opening of the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair, the world’s biggest meeting place for Scandinavian furniture and light design, at Stockholmsmässan. On Saturday 8 February, members of the public with an interest in design are also welcome to see the latest developments in furniture and lighting.
Soon we will be in the 6th week of the year, a week that has become synonymous with Stockholm Design Week. Many of the world's best in furniture and lighting will be in Stockholm to check out the latest in Scandinavian design at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. With the trade fair at the middle of it all, the entire city buzzes with around 60 events, installations and parties.

Three strong Swedish brands will be exhibited for the first time at Formex this spring: artist and designer Carolina Gynning, Odd Molly Homes and interior design company Oscar & Clothilde.
The Formex trade fair, which opens its doors on Wednesday, January 15, is happy to announce this year the participation of the two successful designers, Alexander Lervik and Aurélien Barbry.

In the Entrance Hall at Formex, household furnishings chain Habitat has put together a lounge created by interior designer and stylist Per Wennberg. The lounge is a place for visitors to take timeout away from all the impressions. It’s a place to reflect and chat.
Many of today's established designers have had their breakthrough after exhibiting at Young Designers, Formex's platform for young, up-and-coming designers. In addition to Young Designers, Formex also has Next Step, which is for exhibitors that have come a little further along in their establishment phase. Young Designers is being organized for the eleventh time and Next Step for the seventh time.

Eclecticism, Formalism, Maximalism and Materialism, at Trend Zone, Formex's section for trend inspiration, four of the season's most important trends are presented in an exhibition that is put together by the Swedish Fashion Council (Svenska Moderådet).
It's time to apply to Greenhouse at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2014. The 62nd Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair – the world’s largest meeting place for Scandinavian furniture and lighting design – took place on 5-9 February. 729 exhibitors from 31 countries came together under Stockholmsmässan’s roof to showcase innovations in furniture, lighting and textiles for homes and public spaces.
The recently held Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair continues to strengthen its position as the world’s leading meeting place within Scandinavian design. Many exhibitors are starting to notice signs of an economic recovery and the percentage of visitors and journalists from other countries continued to increase.
