Over 40 of the approximately 300 motor boats to be shown at Stockholmsmässan from March 1–9 are new. Zuperman, a super-racing boat that attains speeds over 180 knots is one of them and the aluminum boat Viggo X8 is one of several boats to have its world premiere at the show.

For the tenth year running, a celebrated international designer is creating a lounge at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair.This year Mr. Oki Sato, Chief Designer and founder of Nendo, has produced an installation that creates the illusion of snow-capped mountain peaks soaring into the sky.This is an instance of the method being as central to the creative process as the visual effect.
Three trend installations at the next Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will showcase the interior trends we’ll be seeing in 2013. For the third year running, these exciting and inspiring installations are brought to us courtesy of designer Jan Rundgren.
This will be the third year in a row that Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair stages its combined exhibition and talk show Hello!, an initiative by the fair to start a conversation about contemporary and future workplaces. This year’s theme is ‘Communication’ and the task of interpreting the main thematic design will be shared by Swedish architect Gert Wingårdh and Finnish illustrator Kustaa Saksi.
For the ninth year running, the Design Bar at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair will be created by a Nordic designer or design team. Norwegian designer Daniel Rybakken has been given the assignment in 2013.
Almost ten years have passed since the first time he exhibited his work to a large audience in Stockholm. That was at Greenhouse, the arena for new designers that is part of Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair. Now he’s returning as a well-established designer. Mr. Oki Sato, founder of the Nendo design studio, has been named as the tenth Guest of Honor at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2013.
The jury with the task of selecting the winner of the NOVA Design Award 2012 has now been finalized. The winner will be named Nordic Designer of the Year 2012 and will receive their award during the Formex design mingle at PUB on August 16.
The theme for this fall’s Formex 2012 is Nordic Charm, a tribute to the blond, simple Nordic style of interior design. The exhibition also has a new slot on the calendar, taking place on 16 19 August.

This is the fifth time in a row that a young Swedish designer has been invited to design the Young Design Lounge at Formex. This spring the task has fallen to Karin Robling. Karin is creating a backdrop entitled "The glorious life of the Maharajah".

At this spring's Formex, January 20-23, 2011, WIS Design is inviting visitors to enter a cozy living room from the 1960s. At Formex there will also be an exhibition of handicrafts from Skansen, which has provided the inspiration for newly-manufactured products – the Skansen Collection – created by Ekelund Linneväveri in Horred.
