Discover.. ads on a television near you

The first ever Discover.. adverts were launched on television this July.

The series of six adverts form part of a £1 million marketing campaign for the brand and will run across channels such as ITV2, E4 and as UK Food throughout the summer under the strapline 'What will you Discover..?'

Mick Evans, Discover.. brand manager said: "The adverts are designed to increase awareness of the Discover.. range and its brand values as well as encouraging trial among adults aged 25-44."

Focusing on four cast members, the adverts create a mini series of individual stories that highlight the versatility of Discover..

Here's an introduction to the cast...

Ruth, a single mum to Daniel, is a sleek stylish 37 year old who has a clear-minded, efficient, determined air about her which makes you feel like she always knows exactly what she's doing. Ruth carries a torch for Christopher, and he does for her, but will they ever reveal their true feelings?

Daniel, Ruth's teenage son, slouches around the place with exaggerated nonchalance and is always keen to have the house to himself to entertain his latest girlfriend.

Christopher, Ruth's next-door neighbour who soon realises he feels more than friendship for Ruth. His attraction lies in the bigness of his heart, which slowly emerges in the course of the commercials.

Ari, Ruth's best friend, and her opposite. Full of arty self-expression she's a woman who hasn't been made to face responsibility yet. Her spontaneity is engaging and she's a likeable character.
