GoldIcon Enterprise speaks on how it’s motivating Britain’s young workforce

Sales and marketing firm  GoldIcon Enterprise has reacted to new research into how businesses can motivate today’s young workforce, and spoken out on what it is doing to keep young people inspired.

In a recent survey conducted Vodafone of 3,019 UK employees, almost three-quarters (74%) of Generation Z (Gen Z) – who are also known as post-millennials, they are considered to be those born after 1995. This generation revealed that their workplace was essential to them, this is compared with 64 percent of all workers.

The survey also showed, 63 percent of generation Z revealed that training boosted their productivity, but only 56 percent of all those surveyed agreed. The younger generation also voiced a preference for high-quality technology, with 61 percent believing that the quality of devices readily available made them more productive, compared with 55 percent of respondents overall.

In contrast to that, 56 percent (or just over half) of all of the Gen Z workers that took part said flexible working made them feel more productive, below the average of 71 percent. The Workplace culture has also been ranked near the top as one of the most important aspects for young workers with 55 percent of generation Z, roughly the same as the UK average.

Within the new-age of technology, employers should aim to make technology and teamwork as interconnected as possible particularly for the up and coming younger generations as they enter the workforce.

Goldicon Enterprise understands and is meeting the needs set out by the UK’s young workforce, and they work tirelessly with the aim of having a strong company culture.

In order to create such a healthy and positive environment in which to thrive from, the firm provides their contractors with the opportunity to learn key business practices and leadership skills through mentoring and regular workshops. In addition to that, the company offer a one-to-one mentoring scheme so that development is personal and tailored to the needs of the individual, not the masses. But for a firm to have a cohesive team overall, there needs to be a number of companywide activities. In doing so, contractors have the chance to interact with other members of the team they might not usually come into contact with.
