Big Coat collection at your local library

Residents can help keep the needy warm this winter by donating to a Big Coat appeal organised by FC United of Manchester. 

Last year’s Big Coat appeal brought in 6.5 tons of winter clothing to be distributed to people across the North West.

Local charity Mustard Tree will hold a collection of donated items on Saturday 21 December at Gigg Lane (noon to 2.50pm) before FC United’s match against Barwell FC.

But if you can’t make this date, you can drop any blankets, woollens or coats between 2 and 15 December at any of Bury’s libraries during their normal opening hours - see http://www.bury.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=3006
